Barmston Village

Barmston is a quiet coastal village in the East Riding of Yorkshire situated on the Holderness coast, overlooking the North Sea.

The village has a pub, the ‘Black Bull’ which serves traditional food and 'Amici' Italian restaurant both within walking distance.

A local bus service runs regularly from Hornsea to Bridlington and in summer  an open top bus which runs from Hornsea to Scarborough.

Barmston beach used to be quite popular in the 1950’s and 60’s due to cottages falling into the sea. It was previously awarded the ‘Blue Flag’ rural beach award in 2005 but  due to coastal erosion, access to the beach is more difficult and the award was withdrawn in 2010.
